AFBF is excited to announce that Jacksonville, Florida will be the location of the 2023 Farm Bureau FUSION Conference. The conference will be held March 3-6, 2023. The conference will bring together members of the Promotion & Education, Women’s Leadership and Young Farmers & Ranchers programs. AFBF has secured a hotel room rate of $175.00 per night plus tax. The Women’s Leadership Committee is excited to host another Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation WLC Conference open to all volunteer leaders! Join us March 25-26, 2022 in Acadiana for two days of tours, great speakers, and meals to bring together volunteer leaders from across the state of Louisiana. We hope to provide value to our members with agricultural education, fellowship, and learning sessions.
The American Farm Bureau Federation will host two sessions of Women’s Communications Boot Camp in Washington, D.C. in 2022. The spring 2022 Boot Camp will be held March 22-25 and the fall Boot Camp will be held in November 2022. To date, 223 women have graduated from this intensive training that is open to all female members interested in building skills needed to communicate about agriculture and for Farm Bureau.

Due to Covid-19, home visits will not be scheduled; however, with help from the parish women’s committees, we have decided to host donations for the twelfth consecutive year at each of the Louisiana facilities.

The AFBF P&E Committee is pleased to announce that registration for the 2020 Farm Bureau Virtual Target: Trust Engagement Training is now open. Due to the ongoing concerns of the pandemic the programming will now be provided virtually and is open to all Farm Bureau members free of charge.
Mark your calendar for two special events: Thursday, September 10, join the Virtual Garden Party beginning at 7 p.m. Eastern Time to meet attendees from across the country, and enjoy a day of inspirational programming on Friday, September 11, with sessions beginning at the top of each hour.
“The 2020 Farm Bureau Virtual Target: Trust Training is ideal for Farm Bureau members who are active on any state or local committee and believe in the value of promoting agriculture and the value of agriculture literacy,” says Patti Fisher, AFBF P&E Committee chair. “You just have to invest your mind and time.”
Participants will receive training designed to develop trust and enhance engagement with consumers that builds on the success of the 2018 event. The one-day agenda can be viewed here and offers every Farm Bureau member the opportunity to learn from agriculture advocates who are making a difference in building trust and confidence with American consumers by sharing their story.

The Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation is concerned about your safety and well being. That is why during this time of concern over transmission of COVID-19, the Ronald McDonald House visits scheduled for April 24 and April 28 respectively have been cancelled. The state office is still collecting monetary donations as usual in an effort to provide the homes with the necessary supplies to continue to support the families in need. We regret any inconvenience this may cause, but, again, your safety and well-being are paramount. We thank you for your understanding and look forward to getting back together with our Farm Bureau Family once officials deem it safe to do so.
