In years past, the Louisiana Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee has gathered lap blankets, cotton t-shirts and socks, toiletries, coffee and supplies, and even wreaths to give to residents of the five veteran’s homes and one veteran’s hospital across the state of Louisiana. Due to Covid-19, home visits will not be scheduled; however, with help from the parish women’s committees, we have decided to host donations for the twelfth consecutive year at each of the Louisiana facilities. 

The purpose of this letter is to ask for your assistance in sponsoring these donations. Each home’s donations will be different depending on the needs of the individual homes. Stocking the coffee shop, providing equipment for therapy, supplying Bingo prizes, toiletries, and snacks are just a sampling of the donations that the Women’s Leadership Committee members have provided. We encourage you to contact Megan Gravois (225-922-6213) at the State Office to connect with the committee member listed next to your prospective veteran’s home for more details about the home’s specific needs.
