St. Charles Parish AITC Workshop

It is time to register for the 2017 Workshops. 

All new material will be presented at this year’s workshops. All educators grades pre-K through 12th grade are invited.   

Workshops are free to attend, but you must pre-register. All educators in attendance will receive a wealth of materials including lesson plans, activities and much more. Certificates of attendance documenting continuing learning units (CLU's) will be provided. Louisiana Ag in the Classroom cannot guarantee that local education agencies or other organizations will accept CLU's for credit. 

All workshops begin at 4:00 with registration and a light meal.

New this year is “Journey 2050”. Journey 2050 takes students on a virtual simulation that explores world food sustainability and encourages students to make decisions and adjust them as they see their impact of social, economic and environmental factors at a local and global scale. Social Studies, Science, Agri-science Teachers in grades 7-12 will discover how easily this inquiry based approach to global food issues fits into the curriculum.  Please note: It is recommended that attendees bring a laptop, tablet or smartphone with Journey 2050 preloaded on your device to be able to participate fully (www.journey2050.com). 

Workshops will also include a wealth of lessons and activities on seeds. Discover the importance of seeds to our lives.
